Think how you would feel if a person who made you feel bad every time he gave you something asked you how much he should give you. Even if you did need something, your answer would probably be, "Oh, no. " You would answer this way to keep from having to feel bad after receiving from him.

He tells us that if we are going to be counted upon as stewards in the house of God and attend to the important matters of His Father's house, we will have to be faithful.
